Our client’s company builds their own platforms as well as service external well-known clients like PTT, LINE, GRAB and so on with an Open Platform technology structure. They dedicate to build new financial service experiences which aim to satisfy users the most and be part of their daily life.
Responsibilities:
They are seeking a highly experienced Head of UX/UI design to lead and manage a design team with a holistic design approach embracing practices of design strategy, user understanding, brand identity design, communication design, user experience design, user interaction design, and user interface design. As the Head of UX/UI design team, you will be responsible for project planning, conceptualization, and implementation to ensure that their products offer users both delightful functional and emotional user experiences.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the design team, ensuring high-quality design output while fostering team members' professional growth.
- Create and develop the overall design strategy and frameworks, ensuring that they are in line with the business objectives, user insights, product proposition, and brand identity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders, to understand business objectives and requirements.
- Lead and plan user research, including field user research, secondary research, and usability testing to understand users' mindsets, perceptions, behaviors, and preferences.
- Review and provide recommendations for UX/UI wireframes that effectively communicate design concepts and interactions, incorporating information hierarchy, interaction, visual, motion, and content writing design.
- Ensure user satisfaction throughout the UX/UI design process by utilizing a mixed method of quantitative and qualitative data-driven recommendations for design improvements.
- Establish brand identities and visual design languages for new digital products.
- Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback to the design team, encouraging a design culture of discussions.
- Define and maintain design guidelines and standards to ensure consistency across all products and platforms.
- Understand and deliver international design standards while being able to comprehend and capture the essence of local Vietnamese language, culture, and products.
Requirements
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is desirable.
- At least 8 years of experience as a UX/UI designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects across multiple platforms.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or management role, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a design team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to portray an unconventional, creative, and innovative thought process.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of user-centered design principles, UX research methodologies, communication design, human interaction design, and user interface design.
- Proficiency in or understanding of UX/UI-related design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
