Microsoft Dynamics AX Solution Architect

• Work closely with customer team to collect and document business / functional/ technical requirements - business needs (i.e. performing diagnostics, discovery, etc.); develop a specific value proposition for each prospecting scenario
• Engage with the client to collect additional details to define implementation road map, solution blue printing, etc.
• Demonstrated track record of successful Dynamics AX technical roles
• Providing technical support to our customers during implementations
• Creating and reviewing technical spec documentation
• Design, develop, review and test customized code
• Deploy tested and quality-approved code into live customer environments
• Design and develop interfaces from/to Dynamics AX
• Mentor junior developers
• Manage project development teams and act as development lead and ensure quality
• Stay current on Dynamics AX and related technologies
• Prep for client demos; work with delivery team to develop a solution proposal that includes scope, assumptions, implementation plan, technology solution option, and recommendations in addition to price estimates; participation in the occasional RFP process
• Perform client demonstration of Microsoft Dynamics AX in one or more of our verticals
• Explaining services and Dynamics AX based software/solution value proposition to prospective customers; comparing Dynamics AX to those of our competitors’ products
• Performing a Solution Advisory/Solution Architect role in the analysis phase of an AX implementation
• Offer oversight to delivery team throughout the implementation process
• Project risk resolution and timeline management.

• 4-5 year’s relevant working experience including expertise in enterprise AX implementations as well as application deployment and/or distributed system implementation.
• Deep understanding of markets, industries, business, customers, and technology preferable within one of our verticals Media, FinServ, Life Sciences or Public Sector
• Ability to provide leadership and a demonstrated effectiveness in consulting and client management
• An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms including a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our customers
• Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
• Experience in forming and leading virtual teams and collaborating across large, matrixes organizations
• Hands-on experience with multi-phase, multi-country, enterprise-wide AX implementation with focus on presales/business development as well as engagement delivery
• Travel is an integral expectation of this position as the needs of our customers and our business demand so we require flexibility here.
• Experience should involve a mix of business and technology consulting across the lifecycle of IT (examples may include assessment and analysis, design, business case development, architecture, envisioning, planning, deployment, benefits analysis, and management)
• Solid understanding of interoperability issues and the strengths and weaknesses of platforms and products
• Experience with AX2012 required, AX7 experience preferred
• At least 4 years of X++ programming experience
• At least 4 years of ASP.NET, MVC and C# programming experience
• AIF services development experience would be plus
• 3 to 5 years technical consulting experience with: Core application functionality, Implementation Methodology, Application technology stack, Related Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server, Microsoft BizTalk Server and Active Directory
• 3 years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics AX / X++
• Familiarity and/or experience with Dynamics AX Workflow
• Familiarity and/or with Dynamics AX BI (Role Centers, KPI’s, Cubes)
• Must have solid reputation and references with previous clients, contacts, partners, etc.
• Must be able to manage time, prioritize and communicate commitment
