Job Description

MISSION:

HyperVerge is a fast-growing AI company started by IITians with presence in Palo Alto, Irving, Bangalore and Ho Chi Minh. Leading Consumer Lenders, Telcos and Financial Services companies use HyperVerge’s Fintech Platform for customer on-boarding, identity verification, fraud check and other services. HyperVerge currently helps clients onboard 35M customers every month (~3% of India’s population).

As a Product Lead at HyperVerge, you will be driving multiple products and product lines for the ASEAN region. With the mindset of complete ownership, you will be driving the vision, strategy and roadmap for building the world’s best AI Platform for Customer Onboarding amp; Profiling Platform. You are someone who thrives and excels in a complex and uncertain environment and can work with ambiguous challenges.

In this role, you will be building products for Banks, Financial Institutions, and Fintech companies in the ASEAN region, hence prior experience in building financial products and knowledge or experience of working in ASEAN market would be an added advantage.

OUTCOMES EXPECTED

  1. Product Vision and Business Objectives
    • Create clarity on the long term product vision, business strategy and specific business objectives for each of the product teams in alignment with other stakeholders
    • Identify new product lines and innovation opportunities.
    • Empower the product teams to successfully deliver on their business objectives at the highest quality in a timely manner
    • Identify and solve problems using our product - Own the process from problem discovery to conceptualization to launch
  2. Planning amp; Execution
    • Plan well with the team, identify and mitigate risks, prioritize effectively and iterate rapidly through short cycles of discovery and delivery. Think big, start small, fail cheap and scale fast
    • Drive product conceptualisation, product development, execution and GTM via your team
    • Handle escalations, manage stakeholders and collaborate well across teams to eliminate blockers and get things done for the team
    • Lead from the front and comfortable with being hands-on
  3. Product Culture amp; Process
    • Setup and improve processes, tools and knowledge base to scale the effectiveness of the product team
    • Instill a healthy product culture of continuous innovation, collaboration, rapid iteration and learning
  4. Thought leadership
    • Develop deep expertise in the domain to be considered as a trusted advisor by clients. Broadcast thought leadership content to inform and educate existing and potential clients
  5. Team Growth
    • Identify hiring needs and own the hiring end to end. Build a team of A players
    • Create a clear scorecard for every person in the team, review progress periodically. Course correct, guide and coach each team member to achieve their goals.
    • Devise a clear structured learning path and career development path for every person in the team. Mentor and invest in the growth of each team member.
    • Onboard and engage with a mentor for learning on competence building for the team, best practices and processes and resolution of any specific problems faced by the team


Requirements

  1. Proven track record in the Financial Services industry building digital products OR consulting on digital transformation assignments
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication via phone, email and in-person meetings
  3. Must have - Strong business sense amp; processes, willingness to work out of different geographies
  4. Good to have - Management Consulting or Consumer lending companies especially around customer journeys in digital products (preferably fintech). Good technical knowledge, exposure to API based integrations. Having managed user experience for Web or App based digital products.
