Games FX Artist Intern

Gear Inc is looking for an enthusiastic amp; talented Games FX Artist Intern to join our art team. We’re looking for artists who have an insane amount of natural talent but might lack experience in some of the tools and techniques we use to produce our digital artwork. As part of the internship, you will be closely mentored by our senior artists and brought up to speed in the various different disciplines. Your responsibilities will be as following:

• Ensure completion of interfaces, items and characters effects at the desired quality bar
• Work closely with artists, designers and programmers to ensure that effects are in line with the concept to enhance the overall game experience
• Establish animation reference libraries and guidelines

Requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skill set:

• Understanding of Animation theories and techniques.
• Have experience with Unity regarding the creation and implementation of VFX, from particle systems to animation and material setup
• Fundamental art skills and aesthetic sense
• Good technical skills and understanding of the content creation pipeline is a plus
