Job Description

Location: Work from home, living in Vietnam

Salary: $4USD per hour

Contract: 6 month contract with potential to extend, 15 hours per week

As a Twinkl content writer, you’ll be helping to build a new team of passionate professionals working flexibly to write and edit content for Twinkl’s emerging Vietnam market. This team will create and edit a wide range of resources for use in Nursery and Primary. This will include PowerPoints, display materials, activity sheets, assessments and learning activities. For this role, the majority of your time will be spent creating content for any age from Nursery to Primary School, depending on your experience.

Your weekly activity could include:

  • Working with the Vietnam team in creating and editing resources in line with the national curriculum;
  • Review the other content writer’s resources content (quality control);
  • Creating and developing your own content and ensuring you hit your KPIs and targets.

Vietnam is a rapidly growing market for Twinkl. You will have the creative freedom to shape the content we offer to our customers. Our ideal candidate will be going further than writing content by suggesting new product ideas, identifying needs in the Vietnamese teaching communities, sharing their experiences and expertise with others. It is an exciting time for this market. The successful candidate will be vital in ensuring that these ambitious plans for Vietnam become a reality. This is a work-from-home, flexible position, and hours can be agreed upon between you and your line manager to fit around your current commitments.

In this role, you will learn:

  • How to create and check new teacher content for our brand new Vietnamese team, from ideation stage to publication on the site;
  • Remote collaboration, working closely with team members across this market;
  • How to develop greater commercial awareness so we can understand the needs of those we want to help.

You’ll be working with:

  • Hang Pham (Country Manager - Vietnam) - Hang is passionate about education, with strong working experiences in software and education industries. She has worked at well-known companies such as FPT Software, CoderSchool and Facebook.
  • Other Content Writers / Editors
  • Graphic Designers and Illustrators

Requirements

To succeed in the role, you will:

  • Be a fantastic communicator who thrives when working in a close-knit team;
  • Be focused on collaboration, using feedback to make our resources the best they can be;
  • Have a sound, current working knowledge of the national curriculum;
  • Have an excellent understanding of the needs of teachers and parents in Nursery and Primary to support them in delivering learning within the classroom or at home.
  • Have effective time management skills

We’re are especially interested in anyone who also meets one, or a combination of the following:

  • Qualifications: Degree in education and/or teacher qualification;
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Nursery or Primary International School teaching experience in Vietnam;
  • Skills: Vietnamese First Language Speaker
