- Sourcing, selecting, auditing and developing with new suppliers.
- Surveying, evaluating, analyzing and comparing prices, proposing samples from each supplier.
- Monitor and manage all activities of the purchasing department.
- Responsible for product quality when selecting suppliers.
- Control the purchase price to ensure the purchase price does not exceed the price standard.
- Coordinate to internal departments and collect customer forecast to determine products matched with client’s demand and calculate for material buying quantity.
- Negotiate and discuss with supplier on quantity, shipping schedule, coating schedule and other matters to keep customer and production schedule without any delay.
- Coordinate outsourcing activities; attend the inspections & meet customers/partners when needed.
- Managing procedures for price approval, tracking international payment procedures.
- Solve related problems arising - Maintain relationship with the current suppliers, build the trust; ensure the payments paid for the suppliers in full & on time
- Handle furniture orders for clients from Malaysia; U.S; Australia,.from developing samples to exporting goods
- Base on a sample/ enquiry from customer, sourcing or finding a local supplier to get a quotation for each part of products like metal part, wood part, hardware, quartz…
- Calculate prices for products based on quotation of each part + shipping fee to set the FOB price for the whole products, and then send to customer for confirmation.
- Coordinate with the other supporting departments such as QC, Auto cad and account to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow up with QC to check and verify the quality of production from suppliers. Ensure the unexpected issues will solved quickly and most effective.
- Place orders to factories or suppliers and make sure all materials: fabric/ metal/ veneer/plywood orders, etc. are delivered on punctual and needed quantity to meet factory’s production/ ship date.
- Communicate with customer for shipping plans to get final approval, warehouse for out-going shipment quantity.
- Monitor handbags and footwear orders of brands from U.K; U.S; Australia; Europe; Japan; Korea.such as Lotus, Tommy Bahamas, BETTs, GOLA, Hush Puppies, NEXT,..
- Following up the orders from the beginning to exporting: develop samples, sale samples, PPS, testing, audit factory…
- Studying, understanding and instructing packing ways to factories such as how to pack shoes in a box, labels, tissue papers, cartons, swing tickets.
- Handle exporting procedure: contact to forwarders to get a booking by sea or air depends on each PO’s request; provide necessary documents for customs declare.
- Response all customers’ questions and support Malaysia office with shipping documents: CO, invoice, packing list, bill,. and also send a list of payment debt.
- Solving problems arising in activities related to production, exporting procedures
- Update status of orders to boss and relevant departments weekly.
- Ex-change information with foreign customers about the delivery schedules, quotations, quantity and quality of sample then advise to QC/QA, or developers to process customer’s requirement
- Opening material orders: fabric/trims/leather to factories or suppliers, etc. and make sure all are ordered in the proper timing and needed quantity to meet factory’s production/ ship date
- Have knowledge of many kinds of materials, also how to source new suppliers, contact them to ask, deal a good price and make list of comparisons then work with suppliers to purchase, agree payment term, delivery time.
International business - after 1 year learning for receving a TOEFL license, I started studying my major International Business in 2 years. And also i had 6 months for internship.
